- Sky+ in Australia Dave? I didn't know they had TVs, yet alone Sky+. I thought it was an island of delinquents and Columbian dope smugglers, I'll let you choose what category you fall into!...
- Mute, for the fucking annoying adverts which are always louder than the tv. Or if you have sky+, and are organized to leave a 15 min buffer before starting to view, the fast forward button helps...
- I'm interested to know if you read my post on holiday then took this photo, read my post then went on holiday or just took the photo of the remote because it interested you? -Kyle

Jon Burgerman started by kylemayne
I’ve always been the sort of person who buys art which invokes an emotional spark (it is the reason why I have Robert Olley’s Coal, Ships, Fish & Chips on my bedroom wall). I love Lowry but that’s only because of the childhood sentiments. I suppose the point I’m trying to raise is that I’ve […]
Usability in Remote Controls started by kylemayne
I have just found these simplified TV remote controls from Bill Moggridge’s "Designing Interactions". It is a interesting concept, what buttons on your remote do you use daily?

A fish, sea monkeys or a cat? started by kylemayne
I’ve just had an argument on the phone with an O2 customer service agent. After some confusion I now needed to change the password on my account, this couldn’t be done without knowing the answer to my secret answer. CORRECTION the secret answer and the question which relates to that answer, I needed to know […]
Knowledge and Twitter started by kylemayne
For a good few months, I’ve been thinking about this idea of search and twitter. I believe twitter to be the most up-to-date information today on the web, a story breaks and it spreads like a wildfire across the ‘twitter world’ instantaneously. The problem is that the story/ information is inaccessible to the majority of […]
Magic Highlights Tour started by kylemayne
I’ve been waiting a few weeks for this, the digital launch of the Magic Highlights Tours album. Well officially it launches tomorrow, but to my luck it launched on the 4th July in the UK. To my amazement (yeah I’ve just checked) this was the first album I have ever purchased on iTunes, […]
Possible Firefox Mobile UI in Action started by kylemayne
Aza Raskin (son of Jef who you maybe familiar with), head of UX at Mozilla Labs, shows off some very neat designs being considered for Mozilla Mobile.
Check it out if you hadn’t already;
Maybe I’m a little undereducated in what Aza is saying above. He specifically states the interface does not allow multi-touch based interaction, […]

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road? started by kylemayne
BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!
JOHN MC CAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.
HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First […]

Summers Here… started by kylemayne
It has been rather a dull month here on kylemayne.com, due to my dissertation and exams postings been very slow. Well officially summer is HERE, a period in which I become rather unproductive. So, I line up a few books I want to read, prioritise some DVDs (I’ve decided upon all ‘Auf Wiedersehen Pet’ […]
iPhone 2.0 started by kylemayne
Ok, we all want to see a new iPhone in the next coming months, but what exactly do I want the device to do? After reading the article from MSNBC asking “What should the next iPhone have?” I decided to make my own list.
Ok, here are some of my requirements:
3G
VOIP (Free Internet calls - Maybe […]

Looking forward to this… started by kylemayne
Since the BBC iPlayer has been updated I been a big fan and a regular user, I just love watching the shows when I want to watch them. Therefore the news that they’ll soon be serving up content to Apple’s iPhone and Touch is a welcomed add on. Now I’ve been hard on the […]

A blunder for Travelscope started by kylemayne
Shoppers on a Christmas trip to France were taken to the wrong country after a satellite navigation blunder diverted their coach seven hours off course. Instead of arriving in Lille, France, 50 members of Cheltenham and Gloucester (C&G) Social Club were taken 98 miles (157km) away to Lille, Belgium.
When they finally arrived, they had […]
